This keyboard takes a tangible architecture and makes it abstract: Das Keyboard It's an "uber"-cool product, and I have to admit I am intrigued and would be willing to try it. But of course there's one glaring problem... $79 for a keyboard of any type is too damn expensive. Anyone can take a $5 keyboard and buy blank keys for it. True, the keys are supposedly weighted with different activation forces, which would bring the manufacturing costs up a bit. But, still, $79??

You got to be kidding. First, the keyboard is so much in the dark that you hardly make it out. What so special about it anyway?

Forgive me for not explaning it very well. Das Keyboard is a standard keyboard with no labeling on the keys. All keys are blank. It's supposed to be for people who want to show off their typing skills, and supposedly it can speed up learning of typing skills. Plus the keys are weighted differenly in different areas of the keyboard.
